There's so much to this love story, but we'll keep it simple!
It all began in November of 2021 with a simple snapchat add. One day at work, Jess Ochoa, who happens to be the mother of the bride, had been showing off her 3 oldest daughters to her coworkers, and Bryce happened to be one of them. When Jess scrolled to Hailey’s photo, Bryce replied "she's pretty cute." If you know mama bear you already know she reported that back to Hailey.
Hailey then began some digging of her own. The first thing she said was: "umm is that an Itachi banner?" then she looked at his face and said "yeaaah he's a cutie." Mama bear told the both of us to add each other on Snapchat, and the rest was history.
Come December 4th, 2021 they finally went on their first date. Bryce drove over an hour to see Hailey, and they headed off to Peoria. Stopping to eat at the Burger Barge, they both ordered the same chicken tender meal out of nerves, getting hot chocolate at Starbucks, which honestly kinda sucked, and then sat in line for almost an hour to get to the light festival. However, during that wait they exchanged music tastes, hobbies and more. After the driving through the lights, Bryce purposely took the wrong way home for extra time with Hailey. Asking nervously to hold her hand, he played "First Date" by Blink182.
Fast forward into mid 2022, they moved into a beautiful home owned by Bryce’s family in Atlanta IL. There they took in Hailey's gecko Miku, and two cats Onyx and Franklin. They've remodeled a couple rooms together, and continue to make this house their home.
In early October they took a Family vacation to Destin Florida. And little did Hailey know what was about to happen. On October 5th, 2023 it was like any normal day on vacation. Bryce, Hailey, and his sister Grayce went down towards the beach around the evening to get some pictures. Hailey turned to face the ocean and when she turned back around, there was Bryce on one knee asking Hailey to be his forever. Ecstatically, Hailey said "YES!"
Moral of the story: Mama Knows Best. We can’t thank Jess Ochoa enough for connecting us in this life-long journey of love.
